Our Story

My name is Rafael Hurtado, and Zhi was born from something much bigger than an idea: it was born from my life, my family, and a profoundly human journey.

Like many people, I went through periods of emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and inner silences that were difficult to explain. Along the way, I understood that what is most valuable is not always an answer, but presence. Someone—or something—that listens without judgment and accompanies without rushing.

Zhi was born from that place.

But it also originates from my home. From the people who give meaning to everything I do.

One of Zhi's most important symbols is inspired by a drawing by my daughter, Ana Valentina. In its simple, honest, and sensitive form, I found the reflection of what is essential: to protect, to care, and to grow. That drawing became the visual heart of Zhi and a constant reminder of why this company exists.

Ricardo and Julián, my other two sons, represent the future. They are the reason why Zhi doesn't just look to the present, but also to the generations to come. They remind me every day of the responsibility to build more humane, conscious, and safe tools for a rapidly changing world.

And at the center of it all is my wife, my life partner and source of balance. Her quiet support, her strength, and her guidance have been fundamental to Zhi's creation. Often, projects with soul only exist because someone sustains them with love.

Zhi is pronounced “yi” and means inner wisdom.

That inner voice we all have, but which sometimes gets lost in the noise of our emotions. This is how ZhiHeart was born: a company created to accompany, not to replace; to support, not to impose; to help people reconnect with their emotions and find real support when they need it most.

Our technology is born from empathy. Our systems seek to understand, not to control. Our mission is not to sell well-being, but to make it accessible, human, and consistent. Zhi exists to remind us that it's okay not to be okay.

That asking for help is an act of courage.And that technology, when created from love, can become a bridge to calm, clarity, and hope.
